Good spotting scopes are expensive and deserve a good stand to hold them steady and secure. The scope mounts to the stand with a standard ¼-20 threaded stud. The Model 800 is designed for the indoor small bore and air rifle shooter. The rules allow a rest for the rifle between shots while in the standing position. The Model 800 includes a top plate for this purpose and has improved clamp screws to better tighten the extension tubes to support the weight of the rifle on the rest.
