The AmScope SM-1BS professional stereo zoom microscope has a pair of 10x super-widefield high eyepoint eyepieces, a 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective, and a pillar stand. The microscope has an overall magnification range of 7x-45x. The binocular viewing head has an interpupillary range of 55 to 75mm, a 45-degree inclination to reduce eye and neck strain, and 360-degree rotation to enable sharing. The WH10x20mm super-widefield high-eyepoint eyepieces combine with the 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective to provide 7x-45x continuous zoom magnification and a longer working distance for inspecting large-scale specimens that require handling or repair. High-eyepoint objectives ease viewing for users who wear glasses, and dioptric adjustment accommodates individual eye-strength differences. A stereo microscope, sometimes called an inspection or dissection microscope, has low magnification and a long working distance that enables users to manipulate the object being inspected.

Ambient lighting illuminates the specimen, eliminating the need for power or batteries. The table stand has a reversible black and white stage plate that provides contrast with light- and dark-colored specimens, and stage clips to secure the specimen in place. The stage plate has a 3-3/4″ diameter (95mm). The stand is 10 x 7-7/8 x 10-3/4 inches/254 x 200 x 275mm (H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back).

Microscopes are instruments used to enhance the resolution of an object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes use a compound optical system with an objective lens and an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in a three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are used to display an image on a monitor, rather than looking through a lens. Microscopes can have monocular (one), binocular (two), or trinocular (three) eyepieces, with varying magnification abilities. Magnification ability refers to the size of an image. Resolution, also known as resolvant power, refers to the clarity of the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and working distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification through a fixed focus, or through a range of adjustments. They can also utilize LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and in the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.

United Scope manufactures microscopy equipment and accessories under the brand name AmScope. The company, founded in 1996, is headquartered in Irvine, CA.

From Manufacture:

AmScopeT490B features a unique simul-focal optical system with an adjustable trinocular port to enable well-focused clear images on your computer or video screen while simultaneously obtaining sharp, focused images through the eyepieces. In addition, the T490B’s industry standard 23mm photo port can be converted into a C-Mount port by attaching the included C-mount adapter, allowing you to attach most microscope digital cameras and video systems on the market. The T490B includes a 30-degree inclined 360-degree swiveling trinocular Siedentopf head, a 3-D mechanical stage, and an intensity-variable halogen illumination system. This versatile microscope is also capable of being upgraded with various accessories and attachments listed in the optional section for additional functions. It is a perfect laboratory instrument for clinics, Vets, Doctors, and professional students. It arrives brand new in a factory sealed box.

Simul-focal Optical System

Most trinocular microscopes allow you to view either through the trinocular port or the eyepieces only, forcing you to switch between the two. Since these trinocular ports are not simul-focal with the rest of the microscope optical system, you have to re-focus the microscope after each switch. The T490B, however, erases this step by providing simul-focal viewing. Especially handy for teaching demonstrations, clinical examinations and laboratory applications, the simul-focal feature allows your students or colleagues to view clear images simultaneously while you work through the eyepieces.

HD-OPTICS

Swarovski trademark HD optics feature fluoride-containing lenses, which virtually eliminate color aberrations. The scatter is considerably less with fluoride than with even the best types of optical glass. This enables maximum color fidelity and leads to a significant improvement in resolution and contrast.

  • Articulating-arm stand has 40″ reach, and solid steel base plate to provide stability

The AmScope SM-7B-FRL professional stereo zoom microscope has a pair of 10x super-widefield high-eyepoint eyepieces, a 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective, and an articulating-arm boom stand. The microscope has an overall magnification range of 7x-45x. The binocular viewing head has an interpupillary range of 55 to 75mm, a 45-degree inclination to reduce eye and neck strain, and 360-degree rotation to enable sharing. The WH10x20mm super-widefield high-eyepoint eyepieces combine with the 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective to provide continuous zoom magnification and a longer working distance for inspecting large-scale specimens that require handling or repair. High-eyepoint eyepieces ease viewing for users who wear glasses, and dioptric adjustment accommodates individual eye-strength differences. A stereo microscope, sometimes called an inspection or dissection microscope, has low magnification and a long working distance that enables users to manipulate the object being inspected.

The removable 8W fluorescent ring light provides cool, white light for observing specimens as they would appear in their natural environment. A ring light provides shadow-free illumination. It has a 2-3/8″ inner diameter and uses a 110V power supply. The articulating-arm base has a 40″ reach for covering a large work space. The pillar is 24″ and the holder ring has a 3″ diameter. The solid cast-steel base is 1 x 10 x 15 inches (H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back).
